What is alliteration?
Alliteration is the repeating of a syllable or sound at the beginning of words (it doesn’t have to be the same letter, only the same sound)
Note on alliteration
Although alliteration is easy, people don’t use it often. And whilst 2 or 3 words can add variety. 6 or 7 words can look or sound a little silly.
Simple examples

| The dogs dig deep into the dirt. | Put the plums in the packet, please. |
