The two maps provided show the proposed changes to a town center as they pertain to the area around the junction of Finch Street and Home Street. Across the four corners, only the town plaza in the north-west will be unchanged (although it will lose its accompanying bus stop, as that will move to the opposite side of the road).
The area to the north-east of the junction is, at present, an abandoned building; this, however, is not the future plan, as it will be replaced by a park. Meanwhile, in its diagonally-opposite south-west corner, other major alterations will be made. The line of three restaurants that currently occupy that location will be removed, with the new St. Mary’s Mall and Food Court constructed in their place. That corner will also acquire the aforementioned bus stop that is being shifted from beside the plaza.
The final change – to the south-east – is to the parking area. Although this will remain in its location, it will be significantly expanded. Although less dramatic than some of the other alterations, it too will be part of the renovation of the town center which will touch all corners of the Finch-Home crossroads.
